Bonfire Night in Oxfordshire

Village greens and school PTAs still run small displays across Oxfordshire. If you want the county's headline night, it is Abingdon. The airfield site sits between Abingdon, Oxford, and Didcot, with colour-coded road routes so traffic is not dumped on one village lane.

Parking is pre-booked ANPR only. No event parking in Shippon Village. Accessible parking is available close to the spectator hardstanding. Contact the team in advance if you need specific access.

From around the county

It is a straight run from Oxford, Botley, Kennington, Didcot, Wantage, Grove, Witney, Faringdon, Wallingford, and Henley. Swindon and Newbury are realistic too. Follow the colour on your parking ticket for the correct airfield gate.

Register for priority access and 10% off general release. Adult £20, child £15, family 2+2 £65, infants under 3 free. Parking £5 per vehicle. Plus Eventbrite booking fee. Final release prices are higher. The 2026 capacity cut means Oxfordshire regulars should not wait for the week of the event.
